When the Hilbert space is parametrized by certain coordinates,
quantum states constitute fiber bundles on the base manifold labeled by
such coordinates. The "quantum distance" of two neighbouring states is
thus measurable though the quantum geometric tensor (QGT),
whose symmetric part is a Riemann tensor on the manifold and the
antisymmetric part being the Berry curvature. While the latter has been
widely studied in many systems, the physical significance of the former
is still mysterious.

Besides the basic formalism and the Abelian case of QGT, we will
focus on the "Anandan-Aharonov theorem" and the non-Abelian
generalization of QGT. Some applications in condensed matter physics
will also be presented.
